The implemented models can be grouped, copied, and attached to lines and devices. This ensures transparency of systems and devices used in the enterprise – but also allows for easier implementation of new ones. Thanks to this new feature, Proficy system administrators will be able to create a detailed plant structure – from the enterprise, through specific factories (plants), halls, machines and finally signals. Thanks to it, tags created in Proficy iFIX can be automatically “added” to Proficy Historian, which significantly reduces financial and time costs when creating databases. The manufacturer retained freedom – you are not forced to use this functionality (except OPC UA), but it is a great convenience for those of you who manage larger Proficy installations. In addition to creating a central hub for databases and accelerating the application development process, the mechanism also controls all iFIX installations connected to the Configuration Hub. Thanks to it, we can manage databases or create models from the browser level (more on that in a moment). It is an additional panel for managing the application with a very attractive and intuitive interface.
